The closing ceremony of a 4-day long workshop (Monday to Thursday, 12 June to 15 June) on Quality Education through Effective Teaching held on 15th June, Thursday at IUT campus organized by Islamic University of Technology (IUT) in collaboration with The Bangladesh Institute of Islamic Thought (BIIT).
Professor Dr. Mohammad Rafiqul Islam, Vice Chancellor of IUT was present at the closing ceremony of this workshop as chief guest. Dr. M Abdul Aziz, Director General of BIIT was present at the event as special guest. They handed over the certificates among the participants of the workshop.
Professor Dr. Mohd Radhi Ibrahim, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic and International), Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia has presented paper on `Integration of Naqli and Aqli in Higher Education’. His speech left a lasting impression on the participants with his impactful words.
Dr. M Abdul Aziz, Director General of BIIT delivered a lecture on `Designing an integrated University Curriculum’. During his speech, He had highlighted on University Education in Islamic Civilization, Integrated University Curriculum, Philosophical Foundation of Western Liberal Higher Education and Integrated Islamic Education etc.
Professor Dr. Mariam Begum, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Maritime University, presented a paper on Effective Teaching in Tertiary level of Education Bangladesh and Art of Teaching. She has emphasized on different kinds of teacher, traditional and modern view of Teaching and Learning etc.
Professor Omar Hasan K Kasule, Secretary General of IIIT, US; delivered a lecture on Integration of Knowledge in the 4th Industrial Revolution. He had highlighted on the first industrial revolution, 2nd industrial revolution, 3rd industrial revolution and 4th Industrial Revolution etc.
Professor Dr. M. Shamsher Ali, Nuclear Scientist and Founder Vice Chancellor of Bangladesh Open University and Founder President of BIIT, presented paper on Teaching Science as Meeting Point of Truth and Revelation.
Professor Dr. AKM Nurul Amin, Department of Industrial and Production Engineering, MIST Bangladesh; he has presented paper on Doing Quality Research and Publishing in Indexed Journal. He had highlighted on World University Ranking, research and publication, Research Gap, Knowledge Gap, SCOPE of work, Literature Review and Research Methodology etc.
Professor Dr. Muhammad Fazli Elahi, Vice-Chancellor, Ahsan Ullah University of Science and Technology, Former VC of IUT, OIC; delivered a lecture on Teaching Engineering and Technology from Quranic point of view etc.
Professor Dr. Md. Tarek Uddin PEng, Head – Office of AQA IUT, delivered a lecture on Complex Engineering Problems and SDGs in Engineering Curriculum. He had highlighted on OBE Framework, Problem Solving, Designing an Engineering Curriculum and sustainable thinking etc.
Professor Dr. Yusuf M. Islam, Former VC, Daffodil International University and President of BIIT; delivered a lecture on Brain Engaging Teaching Techniques and Strategies –BETS. He had highlighted on Outcome Based Education (OBE), Activity Based Learning and Presentation.
Professor Dr. Kabir Hasan, Department of Economics & Finance, University of New Orleans, USA; delivered a lecture on Quality Assurance in Teaching-Learning: The Global Context. He had highlighted on gap in research, Discussion and Use of Social Media, effective teacher and Syllabus design etc.
Professor Dr. Md. Abdul Halim, Director, Institute of Education and Research, University of Dhaka, delivered a lecture on Evaluating Students and Designing Academic Rubrics.
